Brinkley wrote a letter to President Obama with the idea of putting gardens in schools and all the benefits from doing so. Her teacher last year encouraged her to write her ideas and mail them. To our surprise, we received a letter back. Brinkley was ecstatic! She is ready to send out more “better” ideas. I am so proud of her and proud to live in a country where our children can voice their opinions on our future. An absolute honor!
